In April of 2010, we received our first shipment from Bali and started selling our products the next Month in May, at Kobey’s Swap meet in San Diego, California. A few months before that in January 2010, we were in Bali on vacation and it was impossible for us not to notice all the greatly skilled craftsmanship of all of the local art. We knew right away the people of the United States would greatly appreciate these various kinds of art. We were right…
We continued to experience double digit growth and increasingly strong sales through great customer service and beautiful products. In fact, we only sold at the Kobey’s swap meet a few times before we outgrew it! We credit our dedication to our customers and our strong relationships with our suppliers for the continued growing success of our company. We have loyal customers since our early days of opening that have been shopping with us for years now. Some of our loyal customers were even tourists that have kept in touch and periodically place orders right over the phone!
We found a place to sell in Temecula where we live and again grew so quickly in a year we upgraded our spot three times! We built a great many relationships with other vendors and customers which all continue to thrive and help Bali Mantra grow today.
After 2 short years at the Temecula Indoor Market we quickly outgrew the place and we were blessed to find a little suite in Old Town Temecula to sell our goods!
The location next to the Old Town Community Theater wasn’t the best in terms of foot traffic but this proved Bali Mantra can not just survive but thrive even in tougher locations. We still yielded better sales and profit compared to our previous location. We were also selling at many events and fairs and many of our customers from there came back for us here to shop some more!
Only after a year we needed to double our space and move to a bigger and better location.
At the Butterfield Square we had better foot traffic with more tourists and many of our loyal customers were still able to find us there. It is one of our biggest goals to always provide all our customers a very pleasant and comfortable shopping experience. Our business continues to grow and we were even able to invest and renovate the very website you are on!
